WHERE BOYS WHO WANT TO CHANGE THE WORLD
BECOME THE MEN WHO DO

Brotherhood for Life

Our mission is to educate and challenge students of various religious, ethnic and economic backgrounds to achieve excellence and become gentlemen of character. We challenge our students to reach individual potential through the Catholic Marianist tradition of spiritual, academic, physical and emotional maturity.

GLOBAL LEARNING

What is Global Learning to Saint Louis?

PERSONALIZED LEARNING

Personalized learning at Saint Louis School is predicated on the idea that students can make the most growth in their skills when given the opportunity to work within their respective Zones of Proximal Development (ZPD) with the use of consistent formative testing that only allows the student to move forward once he has mastered a particular skill level.

ALL BOYS LEARNING

For 177 years, we have created an environment rich in tradition, proud of the Brotherhood and secure in its academic approach to educating the young men of Kalaepōhaku.

WHOLE GROUP LEARNING

The pedagogical pendulum in education swings back and forth from traditional to progressive approaches and back due to various factors. It is important to recognize this trend and avoid extremes knowing there is value in both traditional and progressive approaches to teaching and learning. At Saint Louis School, we see the value in traditional methods of teaching in addition to progressive strategies. Whole Group learning is where students of the same age and grade level learn the same content within a group setting.

A MARIANIST EDUCATION

Saint Louis students are encouraged to become brothers, part of a greater family, which includes the entire staff of the school. This greater family is a component of a worldwide family of Christian people dedicated to exemplifying Mary, the educator of Jesus, as educators themselves.
